The Florida Department of Health in St Johns County (DOH-St Johns) has issued a health alert for the presence of harmful blue-green algae toxins in St Johns River – Shands Bridge. The alert is in response to a water sample taken on September 12, 2024. The public should exercise caution in and around St Johns River – Shands Bridge.
